Welcome to the Department of English at Al-Kitab University .
The Department of English at Al-Kitab University was established in 2016. The Department prepares students to be proficient in using English language in reading, writing and speaking, making them qualified by educational and psychological materials to be teachers in intermediate and secondary schools.
The English Department strives to achieve leadership in the field of English language teaching. English is a language of dialogue among peoples of the world, and represents a window of communication with different cultures and civilizations that contribute to the building of knowledge in society and the transfer of science and technology by preparing academically qualified teachers of English in Iraqi schools. Thus, contributing to the development of society as a whole.
The Department of English Education seeks leadership in the fields of teaching and scientific research as well as graduating a group of middle school teachers with competence and ability to communicate in the English language to provide the government and private sectors with faculty members who are scientifically empowered and have the ability to complete their graduate studies in the future.
The department focuses on the educational and moral sides of students and tries to enhance the positive spirit and moral commitment for a flexible human interaction towards themselves and others, and in line with the positive and moral rules of their future careers
- Graduating academics and teachers with high linguistic skills in their field of specialization, enabling them to complete their higher studies in the future.
- Enhancing the relations between the department and society.
- Raising the level of education in society through the English language, which is the language of science.
